She left the world with a smile on her face. An angel has passed away yesterday (April 6).
Chelsea Cyndyon, a female college student from Balik Pulau who was diagnosed with cancer 10 years ago had chosen to return home to recuperate due to the limited space in the hospital for the COVID-19 patients. The deceased, whose birthday was on April 15, suddenly requested to celebrate her birthday earlier on April 4.
She passed away after celebrating her birthday at 1:25 am on April 5. Her father disclosed in a report in Sin Chew Daily that the deceased has discussed with them to voluntarily give up her spot in the hospital to COVID-19 patients. They agreed with her decision as they too were worried about her daughter's safety and health for being around COVID-19 patients.
Her father further mentioned Chelsea was diagnosed with cancer when she was 14 years old and that she had recovered after receiving treatment. Another terrible news struck 2 years later that her cancer recurred and she was left with a few month lifetimes. Despite all the bad news, Chelsea fought the illness with determination and positivity, hence winning another 7 years of life.
It has been reported that Chelsea recuperated at home for 2 months, with the aid of a breathing pipe. Her last words were "the journey of chemotherapy is so long," which brought tears to her parents. However, the father was glad that her daughter could be strong and left the world with a smile on her face.
