The world saw another example of xenophobia again during a radio podcast show.
The distasteful incident took place on the show from the Dominican Republic, Esto No Es Radio on August 17th, Tuesday. A few hosts of the show exchanged hate comments on the idols.
It started when a male host shared about how there's a new religion that girls nowadays are practicing, called the 'BTS Religion' while his co-hosts agreed. The host went on to identify BTS as 'The Chinese Backstreet Boys'.
They, then, commented on the global icon looks, claiming that the idols 'undergo surgeries to look like North Americans but mixed with Asian features'.
All of them laughed when someone mentioned it's 'like Chinese graft'.
The show went on with some indiscernible commentaries. However, a female host came to the rescue when she clarified that K-Pop music is very successful right now, with many notable celebrities.
"chinese backstreet boys?" "plastic surgery to look american and asian"

BTS Army is calling out those involved and demanding for them to apologize to BTS, their fans & the rest of the world for so many vile & racist remarks.
On Twitter, 'Stop Asian Hate', 'Xenophobia Is Not Humour' & ' Esto No Es Radio Xenofobico' were seen trending!
The podcast show has yet to respond to the backlash at the time of this writing.
