Avengers: Endgame certainly did not plan to slow down on shattering records when they decided to re-release Endgame again in the cinema, but a longer version, according to Disney.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige told ComicBook.com that the sequel movie to Avengers: Infinity War, will be showed on theatre across the world once again, with new footage that was not in the previous release.
"If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there'll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises. Which will be next weekend"
Kevin Feige during an interview with Screenrant
Avengers: Endgame had shattered opening week record with more than $1.2billion openings, which is $100 million more than its predecessor, Avengers: Infinity War.
The superhero movie has made US$2.74bil (RM11.4bil) worldwide since its initial worldwide release on April 26 this year.
But sadly, according to Box Office Mojo, 2009's sci-fi fantasy movie, Avatar still leads on no.1 with an all-time record of US$2.788 billion.
And now, Avengers: Endgame is making its comeback to the cinemas again, aiming to destroy records for the most grossing film of all time.
Currently on Rotten Tomatoes, movie critics gave Avengers: Endgame an overall 8.29/ 10 and had an audience score of 4.52 out of 5 stars.
Marvel fans or Avatar fans are now starting to worry about which movie is going to wear the 'Most Grossing Film of All Times' crown, but that's not the case for Disney. Now that Disney had bought over 20th Century Fox, it's a win-win situation for them.
"Having the box-office leader is a key bragging right for Hollywood studios. But in Disney's case, it is the winner either way.
It now controls Avatar's studio, 20th Century Fox, and is gearing to release a series of sequels to the science-fiction epic, starting in 2021. " - Bloomberg
If you ask, is it worth looking forward to the brand new Avengers: Endgame?
Well, I'm afraid we'll never know until they release the brand new movie on theatre.
But FYI, MARVEL Studios never fail to surprise their mass audiences.
