From the 9th to the 12th of December 2021, JPJ and PDRM are giving 80% off all outstanding traffic summons.
Based on reports, the Ministry of Transport Malaysia expressed via their FB page that the initiative is in conjunction with the government's 100-day 'Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia' (Malaysian Family Aspiration) celebration.
An 80% discount will be offered to unpaid summons issued in KL and Putrajaya, whereas a 70% to those from other states. It will be applicable to all types of offences, EXCEPT:
1. Accident summonses in 2021
2. Non-compoundable summonses
3. Summonses that require court hearing
4. Summonses for matters related to lorries
5. Summonses for overtaking in a dangerous manner in 2021
6. Summonses for driving on emergency lane in 2021
7. Summonses for running red lights in 2021
8. Summonses for overtaking on a double line in 2021
9. Summonses for illegally modified exhausts
A payment counter is to be opened at KLCC during the discount period from 9am-6pm, and will only apply to those paid at said location, time and date (T&Cs applied).
