He explained that they were being tracked down to assist in the investigation under Section 326 and Section 427 of the Penal Code.

Previously, the Criminal Investigation Division of the Port Dickson District Police Headquarters (IPD) had arrested six men in the Lukut and Port Dickson areas on January 16 to 18 in connection with the same case.

"All six suspects were arrested following a police report made by a 39-year-old woman who informed that her husband and son were attacked by a group of men armed with parangs," he said.

According to Aidi Sham, in the incident at 1.30 am on January 16, a noise was heard outside the house and when she came out, she found her husband's vehicle which was outside the house had been hit by a motorcycle and the suspect continued to flee.

While the woman and her family were looking at the damage, a group of men armed with machetes came and attacked the woman and her family.

"Her 46-year-old husband and 19-year-old son suffered severe injuries to the body and hands while the woman managed to escape to ask for help from neighbors," he said in a statement here yesterday.

Aidi Sham said the suspect also damaged a vehicle belonging to the victim's family by breaking car windows and windows before fleeing.

"As a result of the arrest, the police confiscated a machete used to injure the victim and two motorcycles.

"All six suspects previously arrested were aged 17 to 25 and a review of past records found that five suspects had past records of criminal and drug cases with one of them positive for cannabis," he said.

According to Aidi Sham, the results of the investigation found that during the incident, the suspect was under the influence of alcohol, which caused the incident.
