In a recent incident in Taman Flora, a 33-year-old man was arrested for obstructing a law enforcement officer while he was issuing a compound for a parking violation on Flora Street. The District Police Chief of Batu Pahat, Assistant Commissioner Ismail Dollah, provided details of the incident, which occurred at 11 AM on Wednesday.
The officer, from the Batu Pahat Municipal Council (MPBP), was in the process of issuing a compound for a parking violation when the man interfered and assaulted him, preventing him from completing his duties. This led to a scuffle, during which the officer was pushed and fell on his motorcycle. Fortunately, members of the public at the scene intervened to break up the brawl.
Both the man and the law enforcement officers suffered minor injuries during the altercation and were subsequently treated at Sultanah Nora Ismail Hospital (HSNI).

The case is now under investigation, and it falls under Sections 186 and 153 of the Penal Code, which pertain to obstructing public servants from performing their duties and using force against public servants. If found guilty, the offender could face a prison sentence of up to two years or a fine of RM10,000, or both.
