“Further investigation found no trace of burglary.
"The victim's son was later crushed to death by a lorry about a kilometer from their house," he said, here today.
Adzli said the victim's 31-year-old son was riding a motorcycle and stopped at the side of the road, before rushing to the center when a lorry approached him.
"The man died at the scene," he said.
Adzli said the two lived together in the house and they were said to quarrel often because he asked for money to buy drugs.
"The last time a quarrel was said to have happened was last night and was heard by neighbors and relatives who live nearby.
"The suspect is said to have an addiction problem and asked for money from his mother to buy drugs," he said.
According to him, the suspect, who works as a rubber tapper is still single, and has six previous records related to drug cases and mental illness.
"Based on the syabu residue that is still there with the drug smoking equipment, we do not rule out the possibility that he was smoking drugs in the house and was known to his mother.
