As Netflix's hit fantasy show The Witcher bids farewell to one hunky familiar face, the torch has now been passed to another (equally hunky) newcomer.
On Oct. 29, the streamer revealed that Henry Cavill will no longer portray the titular White Wolf aka Geralt of Rivia, with season 3 being his last. The reason? Well, this might have something to do with Cavill's Superman comeback, although it has yet to be confirmed.
And while fans gasped in shock and sadness over the beloved actor's exit, it seems that casting has already been made for the new Geralt, and it's none other than Liam Hemsworth! The Australian actor is expected to take on the reigns for season 4.
Following the news, both actors later released their respective statements on Instagram.
