According to reports, WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will give users greater control over private conversations. With their fingerprint or passcode, users may soon be able to lock particular chats on the instant messaging app.
In short, the lock feature would make it simpler for users to protect their privacy.
Users will be able to lock and hide their secret conversations from other users once this feature is available. Users can lock particular chats to protect private talks from snoopers instead of shutting the entire app.
Besides that, media files received in a locked chat, such images and videos, won't be immediately stored in the device gallery.
This feature is reportedly being developed by WhatsApp and will probably pop up in a future update.
