Good news to all cat lovers, or those who want to keep a cat at their homes! If you could not find a reason to do that before, here it is: a study reveals that cat owners are 30% less likely to get heart diseases and stroke compared to people who do not have cats.
According to the 10-year study that observed 4,000 individuals, cat owners are said to experience fewer stress symptoms and better control of blood pressure. Besides that, they feel less lonely and are happier.
“Cats are loyal and clingy pets. If one does not own a cat, watching cat-related videos on the internet has also proven to be able to bring energy and generate positive vibes,” explains Facebook page Public Health Malaysia which posted the good news based on a 2009 journal.
