KUALA LUMPUR: An elderly man died in a waiting room at the counter of the Road Transport Department (JPJ) Bangi branch, Section 7 Bandar Baru Bangi near here, this morning.
Police received a report at 10.21am regarding a local man who was unconscious in a chair waiting for his turn at the department.
Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zaid Hassan, said following that, an ambulance with medical personnel rushed to the scene to check on the victim's condition.
"However, the 76-year-old victim was confirmed dead and his body was later sent to the Kajang Hospital Forensic Unit for further action.
"Currently, the victim's death is classified as sudden death and an investigation is still underway," he said in a statement, today.
He added that people who have any information on the case can contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Ariffin at 03-89114222 or any nearby police station.
Meanwhile, multiple videos of the incident are going viral online.
