"Why Is This Not Viral Yet?" A Single Mother From Johor Has Been Missing For A Week After She Was Last Seen With Her Boyfriend

"Where's Umi?" The haunting words of a 4-year-old boy, Eusof Abdul Fatah, echo the anguish of a family torn apart as his mother, Mila Sharmila Samsusah, 32, remains missing for a week.

Mila Sharmila, a dedicated single mother, vanished on December 14th after stepping out with her boyfriend to a nearby laundry shop in their Taman Soga neighborhood at 11:55 PM.

Norhisham, 36, expressed the family's anguish, revealing that all attempts to reach his sister have failed, with her mobile phone seemingly turned off since the incident.

"How can I explain to Eusof that his mommy is missing? Should we fabricate stories about her working late? It's unbearable to witness her son's continuous questions about her whereabouts," he lamented.

Known affectionately as Ayu, Mila's sister, Noraini Salleh, 55, shares in the anxiety, unable to shake off worries about her sister's welfare and her inexplicable absence.

Ayu disclosed the family's tireless efforts in the search for Mila, recounting their daily journeys spanning numerous kilometers, often traversing the nearby oil palm plantations close to Sri Gading.

"Despite filing two police reports, there's been no progress in locating Mila. The last sighting was moments before she departed with her boyfriend. CCTV footage from a neighbor's home captured Mila getting into a white Toyota Vios," Ayu shared.

In response to this distressing situation, Batu Pahat District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Ismail Dollah, confirmed ongoing efforts to trace Mila following her family's report.

"If anyone possesses information about her whereabouts, please contact the local police station or reach out to Assistant Superintendent Investigator Maimunah Sujak at 012-7916895 or the Batu Pahat District Police hotline at 07-4343999," he appealed, urging the public's assistance in bringing closure to this unsolved case.

On social media, a user from X has raised concerns about why this news hasn't gone viral, emphasizing its seriousness.
