In a somber incident, the lifeless body of a female teacher was discovered on the fourth floor of the teacher's quarters at SMK Panggung Jaya 2 days ago. The teacher, aged 43 and single, had reportedly been grappling with chronic diabetes.
The distressing discovery was made known by a medical assistant who confirmed the unfortunate passing at around 9 AM. The Gua Musang District Police Chief, Superintendent Sik Choon Foo, revealed that the teacher's body was found by another fellow teacher residing in the same quarters. The woman was lying on her back in the living room of her residence.
Following this grim finding, a police report was promptly lodged around 10:57 AM. yesterday. Superintendent Sik Choon Foo emphasized that, based on the initial investigation conducted at the scene and the accounts given by witnesses, there were no indications of any criminal activities contributing to the teacher's demise.
The deceased woman's body was then transported to Gua Musang Hospital for a thorough post-mortem examination. The chief cause of her untimely death was attributed to "sepsis secondary to necrotizing fasciitis," a severe bacterial infection.
Sik Choon Foo elaborated that the case has been categorized as a sudden death report (SDR), highlighting the absence of any criminal elements linked to the tragic incident.
