Facebook Is Going To Charge For Access To Live Streams

As internet live-streaming tools have been widely used by the businesses, creators, and artists during the COVID-19 pandemic, Facebook has announced that it plans to add an ability for Pages to charge for access to Live events on Facebook. This feature may be launched in the next few weeks. However, Facebook has not clarified the details of the new feature yet.

Another Facebook’s announcement is about its Messenger Rooms. It is a tool for originating virtual hangouts with up to 50 people. The company is also increasing the capacity of video calls on WhatsApp from four people to eight. Besides, the company also plans to add video calls to Facebook Dating. Facebook and Instagram would also have new live-streaming features.
