Grab launched its first cloud kitchen named GrabKitchen in Malaysia at Hartamas.
What’s GrabKitchen?
Cloud kitchen is a concept where different brands could have access to shared professional kitchen equipment and delivery services.
GrabKitchen was meant to be a cost-efficient model for food and beverages (F&B) operators to gain access to Grab’s merchant support, delivery network, and wide customer base. It started back in 2018 in Jakarta, there are 55 GrabKitchens in Southeast Asia region.
What does it mean to us as consumers?
GrabKitchen offers a wider variety of food from popular brands that are prepared under hygienic conditions. Food and health safety are paramount, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
Under the “mix and match” offer, we can order food from 11 popular brands under one delivery fee. So, there is no need to fight over the favorite restaurant to save on the delivery cost. Order starters from Salad Atelier, main dishes from Kenny Rogers Roasters or myBurgerLab, sides from Tasty Chapathi and drinks from Black Whale… The combination is endless.
Besides, if you happen to pass by GrabKitchen, you may choose the “self-pickup” option where there will be no delivery fee charged. In adherence to the movement control order, the last orders of GrabKitchen must be placed before 9.20 pm.
