The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) reported receiving a call about the accident at approximately 9:32 am. Responding promptly, personnel from the Bentong Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene.

According to a report by Buletin TV3, the Lamborghini is believed to have crashed into a drain before igniting. JBPM explained, "There were 2 victims, with 1 of them trapped in the overturned vehicle being confirmed dead by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM). Another victim, who suffered injuries, was sent to the hospital by members of the public."

Further details from the police revealed that the deceased driver was a 62-year-old local man named Fung Swee Yen. The passenger, a 47-year-old local woman, sustained burns on her hands and feet. She is currently being treated at Bentong Hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. Bentong District Police Chief, Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar, confirmed the details of the victims.

The case is now under investigation by the authorities, specifically under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
