Horror in Penang as a decomposed human head was recovered from a drain at Jalan Makloom, Georgetown on May 24.

When the head was discovered, it was almost fully decomposed with only the skull left.
There were no reports of other body parts being found.

According to one of the locals in the area, the drain is frequented by monitor lizards. Therefore, it's possible that the remains of the deceased were eaten up.

Police sealed off the area before the forensics team arrived & retrieved the head.
Members of the public are advised to NOT gather at the scene for investigation purposes.
