The renowned Amazon is building a lab for COVID-19 testing purposes and they have reassigned a group of employees to work on the task.
The e-commerce giant hopes to start providing the COVID-19 test for their front line employees soon, and they are open to the possibility of making it more widely available.

The company planned for such a move due to more and more cases of its co-workers are falling ill. Many facilities have been affected by the pandemic, and it was believed that the actual number is far higher than what they know now.
On Thursday (April 9), Amazon said in a blog post that: “we’ve begun the work of building incremental testing capacity. A team of Amazonians with a variety of skills – from research scientists and program managers to procurement specialists and software engineers – have moved from their normal day jobs onto a dedicated team to work on this initiative.”
