As announced by the Health Director-General, Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham Abdullah, yesterday (May 4) that Malaysia currently has a total of 6,353 COVID-19 confirmed cases with the new increment of 55 new cases yesterday.

It was learned that there is a new cluster reported yesterday at Taman BDC, Kuching, where it recorded 37 positive cases, according to the New Straits Times. Dr. Noor Hisham too mentioned that the index case for this cluster was linked to the Sri Petaling tabligh gathering, which is the biggest cluster in Malaysia.
He further disclosed that this cluster has infected three generations, which include family members, mosque-goers, and co-workers.
However, on a separate report by Borneo Post Online, the Sawarak Health Department explained that the COVID-19 cases in Taman BDC were not newly detected but were merely considered as a cluster.
