A 6-year-old autistic girl was rescued after falling into Tasek Kluang, thanks to the quick actions of nearby park-goers. The girl, who had wandered away from her home in Taman Tasik Indah, was struggling in the lake when two fishermen noticed her. They used their fishing rods to help her, carefully extending the rods for her to grab onto, allowing them to pull her safely to the shore.
According to a video circulating on social media, the incident occurred earlier today when the girl, identified as Nur Izzah, unexpectedly fell into the lake. The fishermens quick thinking and use of their fishing rods were crucial in bringing the child to safety.

One of the witnesses, Nornazira, who was in the park with her own children, mentioned that she had noticed the girl playing alone near the playground earlier. She added that when she left the park to return home, the girl was still at the playground, and she speculated that the accident must have occurred shortly after she had departed.
A bystander who recorded the incident explained in a social media comment that they were unable to swim, so they filmed the rescue while others stepped in to help. The video has sparked a conversation online, with many people suggesting that the local authorities and the city council install safety measures, such as life-saving equipment and fencing around the lake, to prevent future incidents.
After being rescued, Nur Izzah was taken to Kluang District Hospital for medical treatment. Her mother was reportedly unaware that the girl had left their home prior to the incident.
