Cosmetics entrepreneur Datuk Seri Hasmiza Othman, popularly known as Datuk Seri Vida, has extended a helping hand to an OKU McDonald's employee who found himself in distress following a viral video clip depicting the aftermath of a nationwide boycott.
"I am Izuan, a disabled person from Kelantan. I started working at McDonald's in early 2023 full-time to support my family. When the boycott happened at McDonald's, I was deeply affected.
It's not easy for other employers to hire disabled individuals like me. I hope the boycott does not continue, and I can work as usual. Please have pity on us, don't boycott us," he said using sign language.
