In a surprising turn of events, a restaurant owner in Langkawi found himself taken aback when a customer arrived by helicopter to enjoy lunch at his establishment today.
Zaidi Hassan, aged 40 and the proprietor of a Malay traditional food restaurant, recounted his initial shock and amusement upon receiving a phone call from an unidentified customer expressing their intention to visit his restaurant via helicopter.
"At first, I thought it was a friend joking," Zaidi shared. "He (the customer) informed me that he wanted to have the popular lunch set menu at my restaurant with a few others by helicopter."
Following the surprising call, Zaidi questioned the seriousness of the reservation, to which the customer assured him, "Wait 15 more minutes, I'll be there," while also inquiring about a suitable landing spot nearby.
Approximately 20 minutes later, the distinct sound of a helicopter approaching caught Zaidi's attention, growing louder as it descended towards an open area close to his restaurant.

Despite the unconventional arrival, the customers enjoyed a set menu comprising fish curry, shrimp with stink beans sambal, grilled fish, ulam (Malay salad), chili shrimp paste, and beverages. They spent about an hour in the restaurant before departing, leaving Zaidi unfamiliar with their identities.
