Yes, talking about sex can be embarrassing, but if you don‘t try to explore your curiosities and wonders, you wouldn’t be able to experience the full spectrums of sexual pleasure. However, if you‘re still too shy to ask, here are some answers to the sex questions that you might have thought about at least once in your life.
1. Is it normal for my vagina to make noises?
Otherwise known as queefing, it is totally normal and not something to be embarrassed about even if it does sound like you're farting. It usually happens when air is pushed inside the vagina during sex, and is forcibly pushed out especially when changing position.
2. Is it harmful to masturbate 5-6 times a week?
YES.
Masturbating has been said to improve mood and vaginal strength, and while men are reported to masturbate more than women it doesn't indicate an unhealthy habit if a woman does it more frequently than others. It's normal, enjoy it!
3. I'm a bottom, should I douche before having sex?
it is certainly helpful if you perform douching before sex, for hygienic purposes because you know... people poop. The last thing you want to happen during anal sex is seeing something you don't wanna see at the tip of your you-know-what. What is douching? "It works by gently forcing liquid into the lower rectum, softening stool, and loosening the anal sphincter, both of which then stimulate a bowel movement." - Felice H. Schnoll-Sussman, MD, gastroenterologist
4. I smell down there, and I'm too embarrassed for him/her to go down on me.
Most of the time, it's only empty concerns. You smell normal, and it's barely noticeable. However, if you're experiencing strong discharge and extreme odor, it's best to go to your gynecologist. Eating spicy and pungent food could also be the cause so if you have concerns, perhaps re-evaluate your diet.
5. I won't get pregnant if I have sex on my period, right?
Chances are, you still would.
Sperm can live inside the vagina for up to 5 days, according to the American Pregnancy Association. Therefore, even if the chances are low, it's definitely still possible.
6. I had a dream about having sex with another woman/man. Am I gay?
Sexuality is a complicated construct, but in short, the answer is: not really.
You can be straight and find any members of your same gender attractive. Erotic dreams are not a direct indication of your sexual identity. if you truly are attracted to the same gender, you'll know.
7. Is it normal that I fake my orgasms?
It's not so much a sexual concern as it is a lack of communication. If you find yourself faking it, perhaps it's time you sit down with your partner and come clean about it. Guiding your partner in terms of how to pleasure you the right way shouldn't be an embarrassing topic to talk about, especially when the end result could be more satisfying for both parties, wink wink.
