A viral video showing a student being severely beaten by a group of other students has sparked anger among social media users. The incident, believed to have occurred at a secondary school in the vicinity of Kuala Lumpur, was captured in several videos shared by the owner of Instagram accounts @_maisarahmazlan and @nish_mzln who claimed to be the older siblings of the victim.
In the footage, one student can be heard yelling, "You have no respect!" as they repeatedly strike the victim in the head and body. Other students are also seen participating in the attack, with some trying to intervene while others laugh and encourage the violence.
The video has generated significant outrage on social media, with many condemning the students' behavior as "gangster-like" and unacceptable. As of 10 PM last night, numerous comments have been posted in response to the video.
In the latest development of this case, one of the victim's sisters reported that the assailants have been arrested by the police to assist with the investigation.
The school has also made a statement regarding the case.
While the victim continues to recover from his injuries, many are hopeful that justice will be served and that this incident will serve as a reminder of the need to take a strong stance against bullying and violence in schools.
