Earlier, streaming platform Netflix announced that there will be more than 10 Netflix original Korean dramas in 2021, including "Love Alarm 2", "The Silent Sea" starring Gong Yoo and Bae Doona, "D.P.", "Round Six" (Squid Game) and so on. This is definitely a treat to K-drama fans all around.
However, aside from the previous rumors, there have been no news about the Korean adaptation of worldwide phenomenon "Money Heist". Since the rumors, there has also been plenty of speculation and discussion among netizens about the cast of the Korean adaptation.
On the 31st of March, Netflix finally released the cast of their "Money Heist" Korean adaptation. The show will be star-studded to say the least and will be directed by Kim Hong Sun, who was also responsible for thriller series "Voice" and "The Guest". A dark poster design also incited much excitement and anticipation from fans.

Most of the actors have great track records. For example, Park Hae-soo who will be playing as Berlin, used to star in "Prison Playbook". New and upcoming star Jun Jong-seo who will be playing as Tokyo starred in recent hit thriller "Call". Kim Ji-hun (Denver) was the infamous killer in the cruel drama "Flower of Evil". Park Myung-hoon (hostage) from the movie of 2019, "Parasite", and so much more!
Netflix has only announced the cast of its Korean adaptation of "Money Heist" and that they will start filming soon. A total of 12 episodes is expected. The story will be based in South Korea with a similar plot to the original, revolving around a robbery by a genius "Professor" and his team. Even though there is no official release date, the show will be launched in 190 countries and regions around the world.
I don't know about you, but being a huge fan of "Money Heist" and K-dramas, I can't wait for this!
