No More Masks? Here's Everything You Need To Know About The SOP Relaxation Effective 1st May!
Is this real? Are we healing from COVID-19?
Well, while that's not quite the case, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin did announce the official SOP relaxation, which will officially take effect from the 1st May 2022 onwards.
Without further ado, let's go through the details:
1. Check-ins via MySejahtera are no longer required
We no longer need to whip out our phone and scan for Mysejahtera whenever we enter any premises, but if you're high risk, you'll still be refrained from going in. More info below:
2. Wearing masks outdoors will no longer be mandatory
Yay! Wearing masks will only be required when you're indoors, where there's limited ventilation, although it is still encouraged, especially for high-risk individuals. More info below:
3. New relaxed SOPs for travelers!
For fully vaccinated travelers, they'll no longer be subjected to quarantine or required to take PCR tests. More info below:
4. New procedures for COVID-19 positive cases
If you catch COVID-19, you'll still need to undergo a 7-day quarantine. However, if you happen to test negative on your fourth day, you can be released. More info below:

Previously banned activities can now be operatable, from 1st May onwards! More info below:
