As you know the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Riayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah have begun their "Kembara Kenali Borneo" journey in Sabah.
Their arrival at Tawau Airport at 3 pm was greeted by the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah, Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, and his wife, as well as the Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, and members of the state cabinet.
In an Instagram post by the Istana Negara, the royal couple was delighted to engage with the excited crowd awaiting their departure from the airport to the hotel.
Sabahans were willing to stand under the hot sun by the roadside just to have the opportunity to shake hands and interact warmly with the King and Queen.
Furthermore, it was observed that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong himself drove the vehicle, accompanied by the Raja Permaisuri. It was understood that His Majesty had stopped the car several times for photographs with the local residents.
The Raja Permaisuri Agong was also seen in tears, deeply moved by the warm reception they received upon arriving in Tawau. What's even more touching is that local residents by the roadside were seen running alongside the vehicle driven by Their Majesties. It's truly a remarkable show of affection from the people.
This video has garnered various comments from netizens who were also deeply touched by the appreciation shown to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong by the local people there.
