An elderly woman's heartbreaking passing in Kampung Kerdas has left the community in sorrow. The 73-year-old was discovered lifeless in her home's living room, leading to a poignant revelation by a witness regarding her unfortunate fate.
Nasaruddin Mohd Darwis, 59, recounted the distressing incident, describing the woman's tragic demise alongside her beloved cat, presumed to have passed before her. "It's truly heartbreaking to witness their condition," Nasaruddin lamented.
The Village Chief and Chairman of the Village Community Management Council (MPKK) in Kampung Kerdas received an alarming call from the woman's concerned neighbor at 6:45 PM. She had not left her house for five days, prompting initial assumptions that she might have gone to a relative's residence due to the locked gate.
Feeling uneasy about the prolonged absence, Nasaruddin rushed to her house, only to find the door locked. Seeking help, he contacted authorities and volunteer firefighters, who successfully accessed the house around 8 PM.
Upon entering, they discovered the woman lying in the living room, her passing confirmed by a health officer's examination. Tragically, they also found the decomposed remains of her cherished pet cat.

Nasaruddin reflected on the woman's life, revealing her long-standing single status and solitary existence in her family's ancestral home. He recalled her diminishing health over time, using a walking stick and seldom leaving her home. His last interaction with her was approximately three months ago.
As her condition worsened, Nasaruddin acknowledged the community's support, stating that neighboring tenants often assisted her by purchasing essentials as she grew increasingly frail.
Following her passing, the community rallied together to manage her final arrangements. The woman was laid to rest in the Kampung Changkat Islamic Cemetery in Gombak, where she will find her eternal peace.
