Do you think waking up every day is a chore? Waking up just to have to go back to sleep again? Tired of needing 5 alarms just to wake up? You're not alone. Plenty of people have trouble waking up in the morning. So, today, we're gonna look at 3 simple tips on how to make waking up a much simpler task than it should be!
1. Use A Soft to Loud Alarm
Very often, we get shocked awake by our loud alarms that we eventually find annoying. That's not a peaceful way to wake up. Traditionally, people have been woken up to the sound of nature, which gradually gets louder as more and more animals wake up. Hence, a good alarm should be able to do the same thing.
You can download an app or use the built in Health app in your iPhone to set up a sleep schedule and an increasing volume alarm. This will gently wake you up instead of a loudspeaker.
2. Place Your Alarm Far From You
Once you have the right alarm, it's helpful to not put it by your bed. The idea here is to make yourself get up to turn your alarm off. Once you've gotten out of bed, there's a lesser chance you would snooze and go right back to sleep. Besides, having it further away would also mean that it wouldn't be as loud.
3. Let In Natural Sunlight
Another thing that we human beings have adapted to waking up to. So, there is no surprise that natural sunlight is one of the best things to help you wake up easier. After stopping your alarm, open up your curtains and let the light in. If you have extra cash lying around, consider investing in some automatic curtains that'll open up according to a timer.
4. Drink Plenty of Water
After an entire night's sleep, your body is lacking plenty of water and that'll leave you groggy. To help yourself and your body, drink a mouthful of warm water right after waking up. A quick tip to keep your water warm is to keep it in a thermos or outside of the air conditioned room.
So, there you have it. 4 ways to make waking up an easier task. Say goodbye to groggy mornings and restless days!
