A form five student from a school in Bachok, Kelantan, has been apprehended by the police on suspicion of involvement in the sale of air ketum, as reported by Malaysia Kini.
The operation took place at approximately 6:30 PM yesterday, when the police conducted a raid in front of a wooden house situated on Kandis Street, Telong Village. During the operation, a man tried to make a quick escape by darting into a storage area, but his attempt was foiled by the authorities, leading to his detention.
Upon closer examination, it was revealed that the individual in question is a form five student at a local school within the Bachok district. A thorough search of the storage area uncovered a significant quantity of air ketum, estimated to be around 7.5 liters, believed to be intended for sale. This find was valued at approximately RM150.
Remarkably, urine screening of the young student yielded negative results for drug use, and no prior criminal records were associated with him. Despite this, the student has been taken into custody and transported to the Bachok District Police Headquarters for further investigation.
