Controversy has arisen since yesterday regarding a video of Datuk Aliff Syukri going on a rampage when actress and host, Yana Samsudin, allegedly refused to pay for damages caused after breaking a luxurious vase worth RM400,000.
However, Yana has spoken out and stated that the incident was not a gimmick as claimed by netizens, but rather a real incident that occurred during the filming of a Raya program produced by Astro, two weeks ago.
It was reported that Yana and her husband were not expecting the video to go viral and were surprised because they thought the issue had already been resolved by the producers.
"The producer said they would be responsible and would resolve the issue. However, instead, the video of the altercation went viral and Aliff demanded that I pay for damages worth RM400,000 or face legal action", Yana said.
"Honestly, I'm not afraid of Aliff threats. My principle is to be brave because I'm right", she added.
Yana explained that Aliff had initially shown her household items, including a set of plates and bowls, as well as the expensive vase.
Then, the cosmetic entrepreneur asked Yana to hold the vase, which was located in a cupboard, but Yana did not accept it as she was afraid to touch such an expensive item.
Yana claimed that the vase slipped out of Aliff's hands and he went on a rampage when it broke.
"Aliff got angry because I didn't accept the vase. He threw it, and I was blamed."
"He started to insult and use offensive language. This caused Fadzil to lose his patience and start fighting with him", Yana said.
Responding to claims that the incident was just content for the sake of views, Yana stated that her facial expression did not show fear as she was innocent.
She added that she is not afraid if Aliff wants to sue her and that there are many recorded videos that can prove her innocence and that she did not break the vase.
"Many accused us of colluding with Aliff to carry out cheap stunts. Have I ever been caught in a stunt like this before?"
"My husband and I would not do a stunt just to make this Raya program with Aliff go viral."
"If I wanted this program to go viral, I would have uploaded the incident on social media first, but I didn't", she said.
Yana also suffered an injury when fragments of the broken vase hit her left hand, causing it to bleed.
