In a shocking incident that happened on Tuesday night in Jalan Bukit Tangga, Simpang Kenyum, Langkawi, a six-year-old boy driven a car for almost 2.5 km before losing control, skidding, and hitting a lamppost.
At 11:15 PM, the police received a phone call from a member of the public reporting a road collision in the area, according to Assistant Commissioner Shariman Ashari, the chief of the Langkawi District Police.
"The investigation revealed that both the boys left their house without htheir parents' knowledge, lost control, and slammed into the side of the road at Jalan Bukit Tangga, Langkawi," the report reads. "The investigation also revealed that the mother was with them when the father slept before leaving to use the bathroom. They were both nowhere to be found seconds after she emerged from the bathroom."
The Toyota vehicle had frontal damage, including damage to the left front bumper, according to Shariman. The three-year-old passenger, the driver's younger brother, sustained no injuries while the brother suffered minor scratches on his chin.
