A football match that should have been a thrilling spectacle turned into a scene of violence as an audience member was brutally attacked during the final match of the FA Cup between Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) and KL City at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium. The incident, which took place yesterday, has sparked concern and led to a police investigation. Assistant Commissioner Rahmat Ariffin, the Chief of Iskandar Puteri District Police, revealed the details surrounding the incident and called for the public's assistance in shedding light on the attack.
According to Assistant Commissioner Rahmat Ariffin, a 30-year-old man filed a police report at Sungai Besi Police Station in Kuala Lumpur at 11:50 AM yesterday. The victim alleged that he was violently assaulted by members of the Johor Military Force (JMF) while attending the highly-anticipated football match.

According to witnesses, groups of attendees have allegedly caused a scene at the stadium which later forced the authorities to step in, as shown in the video below:

Following the attack, the victim sought medical attention in Kuala Lumpur and was subsequently admitted to the Chancellor Tuanku Muhriz Hospital Ward (HCTM) at the National University of Malaysia (UKM). Thankfully, his condition is reported to be good and stable. However, medical professionals confirmed that he suffered a broken nose, bleeding in the head and right eye, and multiple bruises on his body, highlighting the severity of the attack.
The Iskandar Puteri District Police have taken the matter seriously and initiated a thorough investigation into the incident. The case is being probed under Section 326 of the Penal Code, which pertains to causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon or substance.
