In a tragic incident in Kuala Berang, Hulu Terengganu, a woman has lost her life due to a business dispute with her partner. The 65-year-old victim was found dead in front of the Hulu Terengganu Religious Office with 15 stab wounds.
According to Terengganu's Chief of Police, Datuk Mazli Mazlan, the initial investigation reveals that a heated argument occurred inside a car between the two women, which eventually led to the victim exiting the vehicle. Tragically, she was then hit by her business partner and thrown into a nearby drain.
The 35-year-old suspect, who worked as a seamstress in the scarf and traditional dress business, used a meat cleaver to stab the victim in the drain. Realizing that her car couldn't be started after the incident, the suspect fled to another location before returning home in Wakaf Tapai, Marang.
The police successfully arrested the suspect at her residence around 11 AM and seized a discarded knife near her home for further investigation. The motive behind this tragic incident is believed to be rooted in dissatisfaction with the distribution of business profits, as well as feelings of revenge and anger between the two women.
Additionally, the investigation into the Honda Jazz car used during the incident revealed that it belonged to the suspect's husband. The police are awaiting the results of the autopsy on the victim's body to determine the exact cause of death, whether it was a result of the collision or the stabbing.
