Based on reports, a former Masterchef Malaysia finalist and her husband were arrested on the 14th of December 2021, for the murder of their maid, in their Kota Kinabalu home.
The couple (contractor husband and engineer wife), were accused of killing the help, aged 28, between the 10th to 13th of December 2021.
They were taken into custody on the 14th, after lodging a police report, claiming to have found their maid's body on the floor of their apartment, upon returning from a trip to Kundasang.
Then on the 21st of December, the couple was released on bail, and fixed for re-mention on the 10th of February 2022.
The wife of the duo, Etiqah Siti Noorashikeen Mohd Sulong, aged 33, was a finalist of cooking competition, MasterChef Malaysia.
Should they be convicted, the offence falling under Section 302 of the Penal code will provide the death sentence.
