KUALA LUMPUR - An elderly woman died after she was believed to have fallen from the ninth floor of a flat and crashed into a car parked at a housing estate near Cheras, here today.
Cheras District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Idzam Jaafar said, his department received an emergency call regarding the incident at 7.55 am.
"Inspections at the scene found a 62-year-old local woman lying in a vehicle as a result of falling from the ninth floor of the flat.
"The victim was confirmed dead by the health officer on arrival at the location and the initial investigation found that the victim is believed to have mental problems," he said in a statement today.
According to him, no criminal elements were found in the incident and the case was classified as sudden death.
He explained that further investigations will be continued to find out the real cause of the victim's death.
