A new technology invention is on the way to help the Covid-19 pandemic!
According to the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Khairy Jamaluddin, said that Malaysia is on the way of coming out a smartphone application that helps to track individual movement in effort to curb the spread of the virus.
The apps was set out to, in case of someone was tested positive, help him/her to track their past movement, and warn others who have been near to the patient.
A few days ago, our neighbouring country, Singapore has launched their movement tracking app, named "TraceTogether". It uses wireless Bluetooth technology to identify people who have been within 2 meters of the patient for at least 30 minutes. This app is definitely useful as many may not recall all or partially of their past movement.
Similar apps has been introduced in some other countries as well, such as South Korea, and British has a symptom-tracking apps as well.
