Malaysian Health Ministry has announced that international travelers returning to Malaysia will be able to choose to be home quarantined instead of going to the designated quarantine centers.
However, this privilege will only be given to those whose residences are deemed suitable for home quarantine based on risk evaluation, the Ministry added. The travelers in question must also have been tested negative prior to traveling.
Applications can be made starting 21st September 2021 on the Health Ministry's official website and must be made seven to 10 days before the date of travel. Applications will take up to seven working days to process, so to whom it may concern, do plan accordingly.
