In a big win for Malaysia's tourism, the country has become the top choice for international visitors in Southeast Asia. Over 26 million people from around the world explored Malaysia between January and November, making it the most visited spot in the region. Surpassing famous places like Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar, Malaysia stood out as a go-to destination loved by travelers.
Thailand came close behind Malaysia, hosting 24.6 million international guests, showing it's still a popular pick among travelers. Meanwhile, Singapore snagged the third spot, drawing in 11.3 million visitors from January to October, which is pretty impressive in the world of Southeast Asian tourism.
Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar also did their part in adding to the colorful mix of Southeast Asian tourism. It's worth mentioning that while Brunei and Timor-Leste are significant places in the region, there aren't official updates available on their international visitors, so they weren't included in the stats.
