HULU SELANGOR: An elderly man who slit his own son's throat after allegedly arguing over a television broadcast in Ulu Bernam, near here on November 3, was charged at the Kuala Kubu Bharu Magistrate's Court here today on murder charges.
S Krisman, 72, was arraigned before Judge Nurul Mardhiah Mohammed Redza who acted as Magistrate, but no confession was recorded as the murder case was under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
He is accused under Section 302 of the Penal Code of killing his son, K Apacnaidu, 37, at a house in Jalan Kemudi, Taman Bernam Jaya, Ulu Bernam, between 11am and 11.30am, on November 3. Conviction carries the death penalty.
The case was prosecuted by Deputy Public Prosecutor Siti Khadijah Amir Hamdzah, while the accused was represented by lawyer Dr Vasu Appu. No bail was given, and the court set December 22 for re-mention of the case and submission of documents.
