Starting from February 1st, a new facility introduced by the Road Transport Department (RTD) offers Malaysians the ease of renewing their driving licenses and road tax through the MyJPJ app.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced that citizens opting for a digital driving license would receive a RM5 rebate upon renewal, valid until December 31st.
The implementation of this digital renewal process aims to streamline and simplify transactions for the public. Minister Loke highlighted that this initiative not only saves time and costs but also contributes to reducing congestion at physical RTD counters.
He emphasized that this feature exclusively benefits Malaysian citizens and is not applicable to foreign nationals, pass holders, long-term permit holders, or individuals possessing MyKAS Card or MyPR Card.
