It maybe a convenient place to shop, but at the same time, it is also a convenient to spread virus and diseases, if we DO NOT protect ourselves and be careful!
The well-known convenience store chain in Malaysia, 7-Eleven has confirmed that one of their staff has tested positive for coronavirus yesterday and has been placed in proper care. The company has taken precautionary steps to address the issue.
Ronan Lee, the marketing general manager said that the staff was located at the outlet along Jalan Bunus, Kuala Lumpur. The store has gone through sanitisation and deep cleansing process. The store will remain closed until further notice.
Lee also said that, the staffs that were in direct contact with the affected staff member are placed under home quarantine, and will continue to do so until the authorities has given them an appropriate medical clearance.
The Health Ministry and 7-Eleven Malaysia are both working together to investigate the root cause and for detailed contact tracing in order to identify and inform those who had close contact previously with the staff members.
The marketing general manager also stresses that preventive measures are being carried out across their operations, including regular store sanitisation, implementing staff personal hygiene protocols, and social distancing measures in-store for customers.
A big shout out to the amazing measures 7-Eleven Malaysia has taken. Good work!
