Sin Chew Daily reported that the Malaysian government has announced good news, that they are considering allowing the operation of economic activities in COVID-19 non-affected areas, especially for the manufacturing and service industry.
Other areas that do not have any COVID-19 death case are allowed to gradually resume operation as well.
"These gradually open areas involve small and medium-sized enterprises and large-scale industries. Although they are non-essential services, they are 'needed' by the people, such as laundry, barber shops, car factories, etc."
It has been mentioned that the government would release a new Standard of Production (SOP) latest by tomorrow so that all resumed businesses could follow the instructions clearly. Meanwhile, the government is drafting a notice.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri mentioned yesterday that the Ministry of Home Affairs and Malaysian National Security Council would announce the new SOP for the daily lives of people in green zones on Thursday, there is a possibility for the people in green zones to return to the normal daily routine.
However, he emphasized that they have to consider many factors before making the decision. Their main concern would be to avoid the workers from red zones to work in green zones.
