Cannot tolerate the hot weather in Malaysia, but lazy to go out to buy cold drinks? It is a good time to eat desserts, especially those desserts that can help you to relieve the heat and keep you cool. Due to the current implementation of FMCO, it’s a good choice to make your own desserts at home!
Dessert and fruit are the perfect matches! Let's check out the method of making a strawberry jelly cake.
Ingredients: About 10 strawberries, 200ml water, 12g gelatin, 30g sugar, 100ml milk, 3-4 tablespoons of condensed milk
Steps:
1. Soak 8g gelatin in cold water.
2. Mix milk and condensed milk. Heat them.
3. Add the soaked gelatin to the mixture of milk and condensed milk. Turn off the heat after the gelatin melt. Pour the mixture into the mould, and put it in the refrigerator until set.
4. Soak the remaining gelatin in water as well. Pour sugar into the water and heat it over low heat. Add the soaked gelatin. Turn off the heat after the gelatin melt.
5. Cut the strawberries in half. Arrange them neatly on the milk jelly (from step 3).
6. Pour the transparent sugar water on the milk jelly until it is completely covered with the strawberries. Put it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour and wait for the cake to solidify.
In addition to the white strawberry, you can also put other fruits, and even edible flowers.
Other than strawberry jelly cake, lemon tarts are refreshing too. A combination of jelly and soft pie crust gives you a texture that you never try before.
Ingredients: 6-inch frozen pie crust, 2 cups of lemon tea, 5 pieces of gelatin, egg white (from 2 eggs), 2.5 teaspoons of sugar
Steps:
1. Soak the gelatin in cold water.
2. Heat the lemon tea, add the gelatin and mix well. Turn off the heat after the gelatin melt.
3. Defrozen pie crust (Alternative: Mix crushed biscuits and melted butter well. Pour the mixture into the mould and put it in the refrigerator for later use).
4. After the lemonade (from step 2) has dropped to room temperature, pour it onto the pie crust and put it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
5. Add sugar to the egg whites. Mix them well.
6. Put the mixture (from step 5) into the squeeze bag and garnish on the transparent lemon tart.
