If you’re wondering whether Wednesday Addams is getting a new love interest in the Netflix series’ season two, don’t get your hopes too high.
Leading star Jenna Ortega recently set the record straight on her moody character’s storyline, calling the next installment as “less romance, more horror”.
In contrast to season one, the newer direction is expected to be gruesome and somber.
“We’ve decided we want to lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more. Because it is so lighthearted, and a show like this with vampires and werewolves and superpowers, you don’t want to take yourself too seriously.
We’re ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great.”
