ICYMI: WATCH: Rats Spotted At Pretzel Shop In Penang Mall
Netizens are amused to see a proboscis or long-nosed monkey hitching a boat ride to get to the other side of the river with a group of fishermen, somewhere in Sarawak recently.
In a 2.20-minute video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter) by @datukhensem, the monkey appeared unperturbed by the human presence and simply sat on the side of the boat enjoying the view.
"A proboscis monkey in Sarawak boarded a fishing boat to return to its home (habitat). This monkey is very impatient. It jumped off the boat even before reaching the shore," the caption read.
Later in the video, the monkey was seen hanging on to the paddle continuing the journey.

The video has garnered over 1.5 million views and 18,300 likes. Netizens were extremely humoured by the monkey's antics.
"Upon arriving home, its (monkey) mom will be weirded out by how it was able to get back. By the way, please forgive the monkey because he is the impatient type," user @emyzlkfl commented.
User @LonerNotAlone1 said: "Not impatient, but he couldn't take it being laughed at along the journey."
