Residents of Kampung Bertong Matu were surprised by the capture of a giant crocodile in Kampung Mertong Matu late this afternoon.
Sources state that the fierce reptile was successfully captured by village residents and brought ashore around 5:12 pm.

Once on land, the crocodile was restrained and then pulled to an area near the riverbank by the villagers.
Subsequently, the crocodile was handed over to the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) for further action.
However, the exact length and weight of the reptile are yet to be determined.
