A TikTok post by @aznahabas has sparked widespread discussion over a job listing at a restaurant in a mall at Damansara Heights. The focal point of the conversation was the staggering salary offered for the position of restaurant manager, set at RM8,500. The job advertisement also showcased salaries for other roles: the head chef earning RM7,000, the assistant restaurant manager at RM4,500, and a dishwasher position at RM3,000.
Many Malaysians were taken aback and humorously mentioned their interest in pursuing a dishwashing job, which seemingly offers higher pay than their current positions. Others shared the view that these salaries align with the current economy, suggesting that this is how much a staff should be paid after factoring in inflation.
