A frequent visitor at Kapitan Nasi Kandar, known as @aidyjohan on X, recently brought to light a notable contrast in pricing between the Penang and KL outlets of the popular eatery. His observation revealed significant variations in menu prices for the same dishes between the two locations.
The sharp-eyed diner noticed that certain dishes at the Kapitan outlet in Penang are notably cheaper than their counterparts at the KL branch. For instance, the Chili Beef dish at the Penang outlet is priced at RM11, while at the KL outlet, it comes with a price tag of RM18. Similarly, the Mushroom Masala in Penang costs RM10, whereas in the KL outlet, it is listed at RM15.

Although @aidyjohan didn't express any discontent, being a regular patron of Kapitan, he was astounded by the noticeable disparities in pricing for identical menu items across locations. His post drew attention to these pricing discrepancies, sparking discussions among other users who echoed similar observations in the comments section.
