A married man, claiming to be a "Datuk Seri," became obsessed after his love was unrequited and began stalking a single mother.
Over four years, he sent over 2,000 harassing emails to the woman, including inappropriate photos of himself.
Chin, a 46-year-old property agent and single mother, has been harassed by a 55-year-old client, Liew, who turned stalker, since 2020.
Chin first met Liew in 2017 while serving as his property agent. They initially became friends before the relationship took a turn for the worse.
The man began leaving flowers and food at her doorstep daily, despite not having access to the apartment.
When the apartment management banned him from entering after being informed of the situation, he rented a unit below Chin's to continue gaining access to the building.
"His messages and emails became weird and aggressive. He started asking me about personal matters that I hadn't shared with anyone.
"He even offered me RM1mil to give birth to his baby and declared his love for me. he sent daily selfies, sometimes in only underwear, with explicit messages," she said.
When Liew's love was unrequited, he began defaming Chin by spreading rumors that she was mentally ill.
Chin sought help from MCA's Public Services and Complaints Department in 2021.
However, Liew shifted the blame to Chin and threatened her for allegedly defaming him.
Despite efforts to stop him, including blocking his number and installing security cameras, Chin continues to live in fear as Liew sends messages through new phone numbers and emails.
